These wheels have sealed bearings. The rear wheel is threaded for single speed on one side and fixed gear on the other side. They are not machined for brakes.

 We mounted beach cruiser tires onto these wheels so you can see it is possible to mount them. The rims are skinny but will still mount a wide tire. You can put your pinky finger between the area of the rim where you mount the tire.
